Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website rebel-thinkers.com and any related services, content, products, and features (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Nord Solutions Inc, doing business as Rebel Thinkers.

In these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Nord Solutions Inc. "You" refers to the customer accessing or using the Services.

Please read these Terms carefully. They set out your rights and our rights, and they include important provisions on warranties, liability, dispute resolution, and your statutory rights as a consumer. By accessing the Services, placing an order, or otherwise using the website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which are incorporated by reference.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Services.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you may have as a consumer under the laws of the country in which you live that cannot be limited or excluded by contract.

Rebel Thinkers is the publishing brand of Nord Solutions Inc. The Codex book series — including The Codex: Inventions of the Human Mind and The Codex of Military — is created, published, and distributed by Rebel Thinkers under Nord Solutions Inc.

2. Eligibility

To place an order or use the Services, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

If you allow a minor under your supervision to use the Services on a device you control, you accept full responsibility for that use.

3. Account and access

To use certain features of the Services, you may be required to provide information including your name, email address, billing address, shipping address, and payment details. You agree that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete, and that you will keep it up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You may not transfer, sell, assign, or licence your account to any other person.

4. Product information

We make every effort to describe and depict our products accurately, including dimensions, weight, materials, and finish. However, the actual appearance of physical products may differ slightly from how they appear on your screen due to display calibration, device settings, lighting, and the inherent variability of hand-finished materials such as foil stamping, paper texture, and binding.

These minor variations are characteristic of premium hand-illustrated books and are not considered defects.

We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or limit the availability of any product at any time, and to limit order quantities by person, region, or jurisdiction.

5. Orders

When you place an order through the Services, you are making an offer to purchase. Your order is accepted only when we send you an order confirmation email, at which point a contract is formed between you and Nord Solutions Inc.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order before acceptance for any reason, including:

The product is out of stock or no longer available
The price or product description contained an error
Your payment method was declined or could not be verified
The order appears to be fraudulent or violates these Terms
The order is for shipment to a country we do not currently serve

If we refuse or cancel an order, we will notify you and refund any payment received in full.

You may request to cancel or modify an order before it has been processed for shipping by contacting support@rebel-thinkers.com. Once an order has been processed for shipping, cancellation may not be possible, and your statutory right of withdrawal under Section 10 will apply instead.

6. Prices and taxes

All prices are shown in the currency selected at checkout and are subject to change without notice. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time the order is placed and confirmed in your order confirmation email.

Unless stated otherwise, prices do not include:

Shipping charges
Sales tax, VAT, or GST applicable in your country
Customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees imposed at the border by your country of destination

Where applicable taxes are collected at checkout, they will be shown clearly before you confirm the order.

For shipments to destinations outside the United States, the recipient is normally the importer of record and is responsible for any duties, taxes, or fees imposed by their local customs authority on delivery. Where we collect EU VAT under the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) scheme, this will be shown at checkout.

7. Payment

Payment is processed through Shopify Payments and other authorised third-party payment providers. By providing payment details, you represent that:

The payment information you provide is true, correct, and complete
You are authorised to use the payment method
You will pay all charges incurred, including shipping, handling, and applicable taxes

We do not store full payment card details on our systems. All card data is handled by PCI-compliant payment processors.

8. Shipping and delivery

Estimated delivery times are stated on the relevant product page and in our Shipping Policy. Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Risk of loss and title in physical goods passes to you upon physical delivery of the goods to you, or to a person you have nominated to receive them — not when the goods are handed to the carrier. This applies regardless of who chose the carrier. If a parcel is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit before delivery, please contact support@rebel-thinkers.com and we will assist you in resolving the issue.

If delivery is delayed by reason of an incorrect or incomplete address provided by you, refusal of the parcel, repeated failure to be available to receive it, or non-payment of customs duties at the border, additional shipping costs may apply for redelivery.

9. Warranty on goods

We warrant that the goods we supply will conform to their description, be of satisfactory quality, and be fit for their ordinary purpose.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with statutory consumer guarantees, you have the legal rights provided to you under the law of your country, including the right to repair, replacement, refund, or price reduction in the case of non-conformity. These statutory rights are not affected by anything in these Terms.

In particular:

EU consumers have a minimum two-year statutory guarantee under Directive (EU) 2019/771.
UK consumers have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Australian consumers have rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

For all other jurisdictions, we warrant the goods against manufacturing defects for a period of 30 days from delivery. Defects caused by misuse, accident, normal wear, or improper storage are not covered.

To make a warranty claim, please contact support@rebel-thinkers.com with your order number and a description of the issue, including photographs where relevant.

10. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU and UK)

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase contract within 14 days, without giving any reason.

The 14-day withdrawal period begins on the day you (or a person nominated by you, other than the carrier) receive the goods.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us by a clear written statement (email is sufficient) sent to support@rebel-thinkers.com before the 14-day period expires. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not mandatory.

If you withdraw from your contract, we will reimburse you all payments received from you, including standard shipping costs, no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods or after you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, whichever is earlier. We will use the same payment method that you used for the original transaction unless you expressly agree otherwise.

You must return the goods to us without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal. The goods must be returned in their original condition and packaging where possible.

You bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to certain types of goods, including goods that have been personalised, or sealed goods that have been unsealed and are not suitable for return for hygiene reasons.

11. Returns and refunds

In addition to your statutory rights, our voluntary return and refund policy is set out in our Refund Policy. Please review it for full details on how to return goods, condition requirements, and refund timelines.

12. Intellectual property

All content on the Services — including illustrations, text, photographs, designs, graphics, layout, logos, trademarks, and the visual identity of The Codex book series — is owned by Nord Solutions Inc, its licensors, or its contributing artists, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial purposes only.

You may not, without our prior written permission:

Reproduce, copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any content
Use any illustrations, designs, or text from the Services for commercial purposes
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
Use the Rebel Thinkers, The Codex, or Nord Solutions trademarks, logos, or trade dress in any manner not expressly authorised

The illustrations published in our books are the work of named Ukrainian artists who have licensed the rights to Nord Solutions Inc. Unauthorised reproduction infringes both our rights and the rights of the artists.

13. User content and feedback

If you submit reviews, comments, photos, suggestions, or other content to the Services ("User Content"), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display that content in connection with the Services and our marketing, in any medium.

You represent and warrant that:

You own or have the necessary rights to your User Content
Your User Content does not infringe the rights of any third party
Your User Content is accurate, lawful, and not defamatory, obscene, or misleading
If you have received any compensation or product in exchange for your User Content, you will disclose that

We may, but are not obliged to, review, edit, or remove User Content at our discretion. We are not responsible for User Content posted by others.

14. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Services to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation
Infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any person
Harass, threaten, abuse, or defame any person
Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services
Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Services without our consent
Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person
Send unsolicited commercial communications

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for material breach of this section.

15. Third-party links and tools

The Services may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party websites, applications, or tools that we do not control. We provide these for your convenience and are not responsible for the content, practices, or terms of any third party.

Any use of third-party tools or sites is at your own risk and subject to the third party's own terms and privacy policy.

16. Relationship with Shopify

Our Services are powered by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform on which the website operates. All sales and purchases are made directly with Nord Solutions Inc, not with Shopify.

Personal information you submit through the Services is processed by Shopify on our behalf in accordance with Shopify's terms and privacy policy. You acknowledge that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any transaction between you and Nord Solutions Inc, and you release Shopify and its affiliates from any claims arising from those transactions, except where Shopify is independently liable as a data processor under applicable data protection law.

17. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Services you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.

18. Errors and omissions

Information on the Services — including product descriptions, prices, promotions, shipping costs, transit times, and availability — may occasionally contain errors. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to cancel any order based on incorrect information, including after the order has been submitted. If we cancel an order for this reason, we will refund any payment received in full.

19. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except for any warranties or guarantees that cannot be excluded under applicable law, the Services and all content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

Nothing in this section limits the statutory rights of consumers under the law of their country of residence.

20. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:

Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
Any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence
Any statutory consumer guarantee that cannot be contractually excluded

Subject to the above, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

Our total liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Services, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the goods that gave rise to the claim in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We shall not be liable for indirect, special, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, or loss of goodwill.

21. Indemnification

If you are using the Services for purposes other than as a consumer (for example, on behalf of a business, for resale, or for commercial exploitation), you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nord Solutions Inc, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising out of:

Your breach of these Terms
Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party
Your misuse of the Services or content

This indemnification obligation does not apply to consumers acting outside the course of a trade or profession, where it would be unenforceable under applicable consumer protection law.

22. Force majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

Acts of war, hostilities, invasion, terrorism, or civil unrest
Government action, sanctions, embargoes, or border closures
Strikes, labour disputes, or supplier failures
Pandemic, epidemic, or public health emergency
Natural disasters, fire, flood, or extreme weather
Failures of telecommunications, internet, or power infrastructure
Carrier disruptions, customs delays, or port congestion

Where a force majeure event materially affects our ability to fulfil your order, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and offer either an extended delivery time or a full refund.

23. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services:

For material breach of these Terms
For fraudulent, illegal, or abusive activity
Where required by law or by court or regulatory order
Upon reasonable notice, where we discontinue the Services in your country

You may stop using the Services at any time. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that accrued before termination, including any pending order, refund, or warranty claim.

The following sections survive termination: Intellectual Property, User Content, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive.

24. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose consumer protection laws cannot be derogated from by contract, you also have the benefit of the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence, and may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Nothing in this clause deprives you of those rights.

For all other matters, you and we agree that the state and federal courts located in Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised.

If we make material changes that affect your rights, we will notify you by email (where we have your address) or by a clear notice on the website before the changes take effect. Changes apply prospectively to orders placed after the effective date.

Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

26. Miscellaneous

Severability — If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Waiver — Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

Entire agreement — These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements.

Assignment — You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights to an affiliate or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, on prior written notice.

Headings — Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal effect.

Language — These Terms are concluded in English. Where a translation is provided for convenience, the English version prevails in case of conflict.
